Subaru Continues to Place Main Focus on Safety

For the engineers at Subaru, driver and passenger safety, as well as that of everyone else on the road, has always been the number one priority. For many years now, every Subaru model (except the BRZ) comes equipped with standard standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive in order to provide drivers with optimal traction, control, and confidence in every driving scenario. Now, with the addition of the new Subaru Eyesight Driver Assist Technology system, drivers can have the utmost peace of mind every time they get behind the wheel, knowing that their vehicle is almost quite literally keeping an eye out for them.

The available Eyesight safety system is mounted above the rear view mirror and uses cameras and radar to monitor the road ahead and around you. With features like adaptive cruise control, Eyesight will monitor the vehicle ahead of you and will automatically maintain a safe distance from it. Lane Keep Assist will provide you with a visual and audible warning if you begin to swerve out of your lane. And Pre-Collision Braking will warn you if the system senses a potential collision, and can even apply the brakes for you if you don't react on time. Other safety features offered on most new Subaru models include blind spot detection and rear cross traffic alert, all of which work together as one to keep you and your passengers as safe as possible.
