Compare vehicle coverage before choosing your next Subaru

A helpful coverage comparison starts with the actual vehicle, the documents that apply to it and how you plan to use it. At Schumacher Subaru of Delray, ask our team to walk through your choices alongside the model and trim you prefer. Drivers from Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Boca Raton and Lake Worth can bring their coverage questions when arranging a vehicle comparison or test drive.

Factory warranty, service agreement and maintenance plan

A manufacturer's warranty addresses specified defects or malfunctions under its terms and time or mileage limits. An optional vehicle service agreement is a separately purchased contract for specified repairs or services. Routine maintenance is different from repair coverage; do not assume oil changes, tires or every repair are included. A maintenance plan has its own stated services.

"Bumper-to-bumper" is not a promise that every part or circumstance is covered. Read the actual coverage and exclusions.

Subaru Added Security and Certified Pre-Owned coverage

Subaru Added Security is a Subaru of America-backed extended service agreement. Its Gold Plus plan provides broad mechanical coverage, including specified advanced technology components, with exclusions and plan terms. Ask our team to confirm vehicle eligibility, available terms, deductible and pricing before choosing a plan. Explore Subaru Added Security information.

A Subaru Certified Pre-Owned vehicle has a distinct certification program and factory-backed powertrain vehicle service agreement. That does not make its coverage identical to a new vehicle's warranty or an optional Gold Plus plan. Confirm the vehicle's certification and applicable documents. Your coverage comparison checklist

  • Who backs the agreement and administers claims?
  • Which components and circumstances are covered or excluded?
  • When does coverage start, and when do time or mileage limits end?
  • What is the price, deductible and overlap with existing coverage?
  • What authorization, repair-location and maintenance-record requirements apply?
  • What limits apply to rental, towing or travel benefits, if included?
  • What are the cancellation and transfer terms?

Request the documents and answers before deciding. Optional service agreements are a choice; compare their cost and coverage with your intended ownership.

Make the comparison specific to your vehicle

Send our team the listing or stock number you are considering, plus your expected annual mileage and how long you hope to keep it. For a pre-owned vehicle, ask about its history, condition and any remaining coverage rather than making assumptions from its age or badge. For an electric or hybrid Subaru, ask which agreement applies to the particular vehicle and which systems its documents address.

Then compare what you can see and feel using our Subaru test-drive checklist. Coverage information and the driving experience answer different questions; use both to make a confident choice.
